Piglets In A Blanket

This is one of my favorite things to make for breakfast if I'm providing food for a crowd.  (They're yummy for dinner too!)  They're always a huge hit and they don't take long at all to make!  I normally have my crock pot on stand-by on the Warm setting so when they come out of the oven I just dump them in the crock pot and they're nice and hot and ready to go whenever we get to our destination.  The recipe calls for 1 package of each ingredient and it makes about 40 Piglets.  I normally triple it because everybody gobbles them up.   Enjoy!

1 package of Lil Smokies Sausages
1 roll of crescent dough

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
Open your package(s) of lil smokie sausages and drain the liquid.  Place the smokies on a paper towel lined plate.
Bust open your can(s) of crescent rolls and separate each triangle  Using a pizza cutter, cut eat triangle into 5 different pieces.

Like this.

Wrap each smokie in a piece of dough and place seam side down on a cookie sheet.  They don't have to be perfect.  The crescent dough will expand and make it look all perty as it bakes.  That's the beauty of crescent dough.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and smokies are slighly sizzling.
