Cookie Dough Bites

Forget the cookies!  These things are the bomb!  They are made without egg so they're safe to eat raw and they definitely take care of any sweet tooth you might have at the moment.  Make sure you take them to a party though because you will eat them ALL yourself if you don't.

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 tablespoons milk + more to make it the consistency you like
2 cups flour
1/4 - 1/2 tsp. salt (to your liking)
1 cup chocolate chips + more for melting
vegetable or canola oil to thin the remaining melted chocolate chips

In a large mixing bowl cream together the butter and sugars.  Add remaining ingredients (minus the oil) incorporating well.  Taste to make sure the raw flour taste/texture is gone.  If it's not, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time until it tastes like cookie dough.
Form into bite size balls and place on a wax paper lined cookie sheet.  Once they're all formed and placed on the cookie sheet, throw 'em in the freezer for about 30 minutes to let them set up.
Meanwhile in a microwave safe bowl, melt a couple of handfuls of chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon of vegetable/canola oil.  Add more oil if need be to make the chocolate nice and runny.  Transfer the melted chocolate to a ziplock baggie, snip a teeny tiny little hole in one corner of the bag and "pipe" the melted chocolate over the cookie dough bites in a sweeping motion.  (Mine look nothing like the pic...but whatever.)  Stick 'em back in the freezer to let the chocolate harden and store them there until ready to serve.  When you're ready to serve them, remove them from the freezer for about 30 minutes before hand.
